“Our stay at 23 Mayfield Guest House was absolutely fantastic. The house itself is a stunning traditional property, full of character, and the rooms are beautifully presented. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and we really appreciated the excellent selection of fresh tea and coffee available in the room for self-service. It’s clear that the owners are truly passionate about their B&B. The attention to detail throughout the house and in each of the rooms really stands out and makes the whole experience feel thoughtful and welcoming. Breakfast here is genuinely a work of art. It’s some of the best food I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing. Ross clearly takes great pride in what he creates and is always happy to explain the ingredients and flavour combinations he’s putting together. Everything is made with high-end, quality ingredients sourced from local farms, butchers, and producers, which really shines through in the flavours. I highly recommend trying the daily specials — they’re a great way to experience something extra special each morning. On top of that, be sure to ask Ross for recommendations on where to eat in the evenings. His taste and passion for quality food never let us down and led us to some excellent meals during our stay. Overall, a wonderful place to stay with exceptional hospitality and unforgettable breakfasts. Highly recommended.”

“Amazing stay! Hosts were attentive and kind. Provided us with dinning recommendations as well. Close to the city centre and other activities. Breakfast was our favourite part. Every item was handmade and delicious. We especially enjoyed the porridge.”
